POSIGRAF has just finished the Metrics PLANNER system implementation for the production planning and Metrics JobTrack implementation for the production control automation of plan printing and finishing areas.
Since 2002, POSIGRAF uses METRICS JobTrack to control the production of its rotary printing press, project that has showed important results on the equipment productivity control and has reduced the paper waste. All company equipment has been electronically monitored in real-time after this new implementation. The counting of produced quantity and time is done through sensors without the need of entering manual data.
Metrics Planner operates in an integrated way with the corporative system and receives the products specifications that will be printed.  The planning is automatically generated, according to deliveries dates and priorities. The users can access the planning of each machine, it is also possible to do simulations and interrupt the system decisions, in a simple way through a graphical interface. 
The information of several areas are integrated in real-time. Any change in the works planning is immediately available on machines and the collected data in the production are used in a continuous way by Metrics Planner to adjust the planning, according to the progress of each activity.
With this project, POSIGRAF optimizes its production management, reduces operational costs, increase the speed of answering about schedule and facilitates to make decisions with the best quality information and reliable information about the production.
This is another step that is preparing the company to follow its way of growth.
