Drupa Dusseldorf 2008 / Germany – the largest worldwide trade fair and congress of the printing industry has finished with a business volume that exceeds ten billions of Euros, according to the calculation made by Drupa after the event conclusion.
 
The largest number of people that have gone to the event was around 319 thousand people. This number has indicated the greatest number of people in the event history and has guaranteed the representation of 138 countries in Drupa Dusseldorf 2008.

Present for the second time in the event, the Brazilian company Metrics has participated of Drupa with two stands, one of them in the exhibition pavilion and the other, in a reserved area for innovative companies – DIP (Drupa Innovation Parc), in which Metrics was the only Brazilian company to be admitted.
 
According to Metrics president - Mr. Osmar Barbosa, the great circulation of people in the event was noticeable also in the company stands, in which, Metrics representatives have stayed totally busy providing detailed explanation about the company releases – among them, the platform Printware that introduces new standards for production control in the printing industry. 
 
“In the period of two weeks of exhibition, we have received the visit of more than a thousand of people from more than 30 countries, most of them with technical and business decision power”, says Mr. Barbosa.
 
According to Mr. Barbosa, Metrics had expectations of achieving the European market through its participation in Drupa. Beyond this goal, the company has also conquered strong business perspectives with the greatest companies of Africa and Asia. Nowadays, Metrics systems are present in six countries from Latin America.
